FY2011 “Tokyo Ubiquitous Technology Project in Ginza” Feasibility Study Experiment has started.

Ginza Mitsukoshi lends the guide terminals using smartphones!! 

"Tokyo Ubiquitous Technology Project" promoted by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government and Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism has started a new experimental service using free rental smartphones since Wednesday, February 1, 2012. In collaboration with "kokosil(R) Ginza," the information site for the town of Ginza, this service provides the information on the stores, facilities, tourist spots, events in Ginza, etc. in multiple languages(*). Those who are not familiar with Ginza can also enjoy and experience this service including tour guidance, etc. Please try it out. Participation in this experiment is free of charge.
The latest NFC smartphones are lent at Ginza Mitsukoshi.

* This service is available in Chinese (Simplified and traditional characters), English, Japanese, and Korean.
