June 24, 2002 T-Engine Forum Secretariat
The T-Engine Project has been established to offer a standard real-time system development platform for constructing a ubiquitous computing environment.
T-Engine is a new standardized development platform into which the eTRON architecture has been installed. The eTRON architecture enables the secure transfer of information and rights through insecure network channels such as the Internet. By using the T-Engine platform, network devices such as mobile phones, portable devices, and information devices can be efficiently developed. The T-Engine makes its specification open, so that numerous pieces of middleware have been developed for this common platform with the aim of reducing development costs and improving product quality.
The T-Engine Forum has been established to research and develop the T-Engine specification.
