3. The first T-Kernel ported into PowerPC core Though Personal Media Corp. has been successful to port T-Kernel to CPU, in this T-Engine/PPC-V4FX Development Kit ported "PMC T-Kernel" has been ported into PowerPC 405 core. In the result, "PMC T-Kernel" can work on almost any 32 bit, embedded CPU.

PMC ported “T-Kernel” to x86 architecture for the first time in the world, and started providing this as “custom version PMC T-Kernel/x86” with the specified customers on Nov., 2006.

In addition to T-Kernel, device driver and middleware for T-Kernel, and peripheral software such as development environment were ported to x86 architecture. Consequently, T-Kernel can be used on PC/AT-compatible embedded board of which high-performance and various models are on sale, and options of T-Engine-based application devices (T-EngineAppliance) are greatly extended.

Personal Media Corporation (PMC) ported “T-Kernel” to x86 architecture for the first time in the world, and has been providing this as “custom version T-Kernel/x86” with the specified customers. “T-Kernel Standard Handbook” (Newly revised version) is an official document of “T-Kernel”, which is a standard real-time OS for an open development platform T-Engine of Ubiquitous devices. The handbook is the latest version covering specification changes and supplemental information, etc. added to its first edition (released on Oct., 2003). The book gives full and detailed descriptions of the T-Engine’s core technology, such as “T-Kernel” and T-Monitor” whose source codes are currently released from the T-Engine Forum. English documents of “T-Kernel” and T-Monitor” are included as electronic files on the CD-ROM.

“T-Kernel Kumikomi Programming Kyokasho” (A Practical Guide to T-Kernel Embedded Programming) is a practical guide for developers. The book describes the system development using T-Kernel and T-Kernel Extension, with a wealth of programming examples and know-hows. SOFTUNE μT-REALOS/FR is a real-time OS for 32-bit micro controller FR series, which is compliant with μT-Kernel specification OS. Speedup and memory saving for the kernel are realized with a configuration tool to obtain and select the kernel functions. eT-Kernel
