    "Smart Street" service is being tested from May 1 to May 25, along Tokyo Metropolitan No 4 route from the West exit of Shinjuku station to Metropolitan government building.

    ● Tokyo Midtown Ubiquitous Art Tour (R)

    ◆You can try ubiquitous computing at Tokyo Station starting from March 1, 2013.

    A feasibility study experiment will be conducted by YRP Ubiquitous Networking Laboratory from March 1 to 29, in cooperation with Bureau of Transportation of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government, East Japan Railway Company and Tokyo Metro Co., Ltd. The experiment will be conducted to standardize the data on public transportation services such as the information on the operation status of trains and buses and on the facilities at stations and stops, and to distribute such data as open data eventually.
    In this experiment, applications such as "dokosil," a real-time operation information service and "kokosil Tokyo Station," a Smart Station System supporting NFC tags will be released. Both applications can be downloaded from Google Play for free during the experiment, and can be used on Android smartphone. We look forward to your participation.

    TRON Enableware Research Group has stipulated "TRON Enableware Specification" and taken into account the support for physically-challenged and aged people at the stage of fundamental design for the information infrastructure technology designed by TRON Project.
