In the ubiquitous computing application field, steady progress has been made including the establishment of Study Group of Open Data for Public Transportation. Also, the newly revised uID architecture, u2, has been announced. The last year already saw the proposal of the concept of new Kaden (home electric and electronic appliances) of the future in the ubiquitous networking environment based on u2.
This year, 2014, is the thirty-year anniversary of TRON Project. Your continued interest and support of the project is highly appreciated,
and I wish this year is going to be a fruitful year for every reader of this e-mail magazine.
As the new year’s greeting from Chair Sakamura mentions, TRON Project has entered its 30th year’s operation this year. We would like to express our sincere appreciation for the support from many people over the years.
T-Engine Forum will continue its activity to promote the results of TRON Project to the world. With the help of members, it intends to keep publishing the specification and source file of T-Kernel family (embedded real-time OS), and hold seminars for tutorial and hands-on practice. It will also promote the ubiquitous ID architecture "u2" and ucode through the activity of ubiquitous ID center under T-Engine Forum. We appreciate your continued support from the members in the new year. Thank you.
“TRONSHOW2014″ was held at Tokyo Midtown in Roppongi, Tokyo from Wednesday, December 11 to Friday, December 14, 2013. In this symposium, a keynote speech by Chair Sakamura and many speeches were given, and sessions were held. The presentation materials for the keynote speech and a few other sessions are now available for download on the T-Engine Forum website.
TRON Project aims to realize the vision of “Computing Everywhere,” the IoT (Internet of Things), or ubiquitous computing. TRONSHOW2014 introduces the latest results of the IoT research and development such as µT-Kernel 2.0 for the IoT nodes, ubiquitous ID technology such as uID architecture 2.0, and the linkage with Open Data and Big Data. Please come and visit the exhibition floor to see the glimpse of the future.
